Under the Wings of Angels…

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

والحمدلله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله

In the name of God, the most Merciful, the most Compassionate

All praise be to God, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of God

The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) said:

“Those who come together to remember God, Angels around them, and God has His mercy upon them, and their heart find rest & peace”

What does it mean to be under the wings of Angels? How does it feel to have hearts filled with contentment and rest?

Remembering God is remembering what is important in our lives. It is to be grateful for His blessings, to contemplate over His creation, to recognize that everything happens by His leave; and to know that in our lives, we have a purpose. When we remember God, when we talk about Him, the Angels surround us and shade us with their wings.

But how do we remember God in both speech and action? Is it really enough to say we love God with our lips, and let our actions speak otherwise? It is not, and this is why we have been sent the greatest mercy from the All-Merciful- our beloved Messenger, Mohammed (peace be upon him).

And this is the purpose of this blog- to learn from sayings and actions of our beloved (pbuh), and implement them with sincerity to our lives. I personally suffer from many shortcomings, so much so that I started questioning if I should even start this blog. What could I possibly offer when I do not possess much? But this religion is one that teaches us to better ourselves, and I know that I need to try. In learning, I hope I can pass that on so that together we can grow.

The first batch of posts will be those sent throughout the past year as emails; newer ones will be added weekly inshAllah.

If anyone has any suggestions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
